The charges result from an incident in the Ideal Street area of Paintcourtville.
In the early morning hours of June 28, deputies were dispatched to the area of Ideal Street off La. 308 in Paincourtville in reference to gunshots being fired.
Deputies arrived on scene and located bullet casings of several different calibers. Deputies secured the area on Ideal Street. Additionally, deputies located a vehicle in the La. 1 area of Belle Rose that had been struck by gunfire on Ideal Street. That vehicle was secured as an additional crime scene.
At the time of this shooting, the vehicle was occupied by four people.
Detectives were dispatched and continued the investigation. It was determined that multiple individuals were involved in an argument and at some point, gunfire erupted.
As the investigation progressed, detectives identified Montet, Williams, Truehill and a fourth individual as suspects in this incident.
As the investigation continued, detectives secured arrest warrants for Montet, Williams and Truehill, who were booked Wednesday into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending bond proceedings.
