
Authorities make arrests on burglary, theft charges

Regional law enforcement agencies reported six arrests in the last week on property crimes including burglary, theft, shoplifting and possession of stolen property.
Parish deputies also arrested a New Iberia man wanted in Lafayette on attempted murder charges.
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:
--Margie Ordoyne Clement, 55, Schriever, was arrested at 12:23 p.m. Sunday on a charge of resisting an officer by giving false information and on a Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office warrant for simple burglary and possession of tools for a crime. Bail was set at $2,500 and a hold was placed on Clement by another agency.
--Joewell Morkees Alston, 34, Lithonia, Georgia, was arrested at 12:48 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of stolen things. Bail was set at $10,000.
--Auna Michelle Hebert, 19, Franklin, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. Thursday on a charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple burglary and criminal trespass. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Harlem James Ozenne, 17, Franklin, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. Thursday on charges of simple criminal damage to property, two counts of simple burglary and criminal trespass.
Bail has not been set at this time.
--Nathan Michael Day, 19, Franklin, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. Thursday on charges of simple criminal damage to property, simple burglary and criminal trespass. Bail was set at $20,000.
--Gilbert Harrison III, 39, New Iberia, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 6:36 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of firearm or carrying concealed by a convicted felon, violation of protective orders and illegal possession of a legend drug, and on a Lafayette Police Department warrant alleging two counts of attempted first-degree murder. Bail has not been set at this time and a hold was placed on Harrison by another agency.
Harrison was wanted in the July 4 shooting of a Lafayette man in the 1300 block of NE Evangeline Thruway. The victim was hit multiple times but survived.
--Saylor Ross, 25, Franklin, was arrested at 4:41 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Bail has not been set at this time.
--Edward Joseph Guillory Jr., 41, Church Point, was arrested at 10:56 a.m. Sunday on charges of simple assault and domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $5,000.
--Tasmine Trenay Arceneaux, 28, Houston, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace (fighting), resisting arrest or officer, and two counts of second-degree battery.
Arceneaux was released on an $18,000 bond.
--Letoric Brown, 27, Houston, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Brown was released on a $1,000 bond.
--Skylar James Williams, 44, Thibodaux, was arrested at 3:33 a.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and improper lane usage. Williams is being held without bond.
--Michael C. Lumpkins, 36, Jeanerette, was arrested at 7:57 a.m. Sunday on charges of criminal trespass and on a Franklin Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear for theft. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Santos Surisaday Galeano-Mejia, 28, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Sunday on warrant for failure alleging appear for reckless operation. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Karla Patricia Menocal-Cruz, 31, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Sunday on a warrant. A hold was placed on Menocal with immigration.
--Samuel Paul Gary, 35, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:39 a.m. Thursday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of resisting an officer with force or violence, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of MDMA. Bail has not been set at this time, and a hold was placed on him for probation violation.
--Forrest William Sullivan, 32, West, Texas, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. Thursday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of firearm or carrying concealed by a person convicted of domestic abuse battery, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and handling of machine guns. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Tristen Hines, 29, Jeanerette, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 6:36 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Daniel Boudreaux, 44, Franklin, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 10:45 a.m. Thursday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydrocodone, possession of tramadol, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to register as a sex offender.
--Christi Whitehurst Andrus, 38, Lafayette, was arrested at 4:18 p.m. July 8 on a warrant alleging impersonating a police officer and criminal trespass. Bail has not been set at this time.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:
--Shantell Fryou, 38, Orange Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:40 p.m. July 8 on a charge of theft (under $1,000).
--Michael Bray, 66, Magnolia Street, Amelia, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Thursday on a charge of probation violation (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Pedro Capetillo, 35, North Shepherd Drive, Houston, was arrested at 10:23 p.m. Thursday on charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless operation and no driver’s license.
--David Aucoin Jr., 30, Cremo Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 11:41 a.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Harley Thibodeaux, 27, La. 317, Franklin, was arrested at 11:41 a.m. Friday three counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and as a fugitive from the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
--Kaleb Wood, 32, 3 Bees Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:35 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of marijuana (under 14 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--Olvin Flores-Funes, 37, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. Monday on charges of driving while intoxicated (second offense), reckless operation, no driver’s license and open container.
--Dakota Benoit, 36, Segura Road, New Iberia, was arrested at 12:54 p.m. July 8 on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Malcoln Smith Sr., 39, Eighth Street, Patterson, was arrested at 7:02 p.m. July 8 on a charge of failure to appear for trial.
--Charleston Grogan, 31, Wren Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. July 8 on a charge of remaining where forbidden.
--Niechelle Winley, 37, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:16 p.m. July 8 on charges of simple battery and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
--Phillip Aucoin, 55, Guezetta Drive, Berwick, was arrested at 1 a.m. Thursday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Patterson
Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:
--Wade Woodard, 51, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:08 p.m. July 8 on a charge of theft by shoplifting. Woodard was booked, processed and is currently held on a $1,500 bond.
--Matthew P. Eldridge, 39, St. Peter Street, Patterson, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. Friday on two counts of cruelty to a juvenile (violent).
--Luis Portillo, 26, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:28 a.m. July 8 charges of speeding, no driver’s license, no insurance, and two taillights required. Portillo was booked, processed and released on a $1,190 fine.
--Kira Guillory, 30, Patterson, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. July 6 on charges of careless operation with an accident, improper lane usage, no child restraint and no insurance. Guillory was released to appear in Mayor's Court.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
--James Casey Aucoin, 43, Felicia Street, Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging him with a probation / parole violation, a July 10 warrant alleging resisting an officer, a July 12 warrant alleging four counts of resisting an officer, and on a charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
Aucoin was convicted June 26 of the crime of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling in Assumption Parish. Aucoin was placed on supervised probation for a term of two years and ordered to comply with specific conditions during the probationary period.
Aucoin violated the terms of the probation, resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on June 29.
On Friday, deputies attempted to arrest Aucoin at his residence at his residence in Bayou L’Ourse. As deputies approached Aucoin, he fled on foot into a wooded area. Deputies secured an arrest warrant charging Aucoin with resisting an officer.
On Sunday, deputies spotted Aucoin on Elaine Street. As deputies approached, Aucoin fled into the woods. Pursuing deputies were able to capture Aucoin.
Aucoin was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and was ordered held without bond on the probation / parole warrant. He awaits a bond hearing on the remaining charges.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:
--Jacob Estelle, 20, Lee Charles Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:23 p.m. Friday on the charges of operating vehicle while license is suspended, possession of marijuana, illegal carrying of weapons in presence of controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Estelle was booked, processed and released on a $12,000 bond.
--Tarik Rouchon, 26, 10th Street, Baldwin, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. Saturday on charges of speeding and flight from an officer. Rouchon was booked, processed and released on a $1,060 bond.
--Courtney Gauthier, 40, Sterling Road, Franklin, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving on roadway laned for traffic, possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicle, possession of alprazolam and self-mutilation by a prisoner. Gauthier was booked, processed and released on a $7,000 bond.
--Juvenile was arrested at 3:06 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting).

--Raniyah Tillman, 20, Canal Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 5:09 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Tillman was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.
--Rodranique Preston, 17, Anderson St., Franklin, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Preston was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.
--Keiarius Gordon, 36, Samuel Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:17 p.m. Sunday on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving on roadway laned for traffic, possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicle, resisting an officer and stop sign violation.
Gordon was booked, processed and released on a $5,750 bond.
--Blaze Ezell, 32, Second Street, Berwick, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. Thursday on warrants for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on charges of resisting an officer, theft, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant for 6th Ward Morgan City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of taillights, two required. Ezell was additionally arrested on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ezell was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
--Dereke Guilbeau Jr., 29, Hamm Street, Franklin, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. Thursday on a warrant dated June 28 alleging operating vehicle while license is suspended. Guilbeau was booked, processed and released on a $263 bond.
--Tanasia Moore, 24, Plantation Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 6:25 p.m. Thursday on a charge of battery of a dating partner. Moore was booked, processed and held on a $2,500 bond.
--De’Briandre Stansbury, 24, Plantation Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 6:25 p.m. Thursday on a charge of battery of a dating partner. Stansbury was booked, processed and held on a $3,500 bond.
