Arrests on marijuana, domestic abuse charges reported by Morgan City police

Morgan City police reported arrests since Friday on charges that include marijuana possession, drunken driving and domestic abuse.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reports that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 201 calls for service over the last 96-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Michael Peter Lodrigues, 48, Second Street, Berwick, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. June 23 on a charge of possession of marijuana.

--Cameron D. Aucoin, 23, Field Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:08 p.m. June 23 on charges of disregard of traffic controls and failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Emmanuel Jamal Charles, 35, Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:59 p.m. June 23 on charges of criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

---Dallas Joseph Hebert, 53, Fieldview Drive, New Iberia, was arrested at 5:44 p.m. June 23 on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), reckless operation of a motor vehicle, possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and speeding 80 mph in a 60 mph zone.

--Victor Ray Chavis Jr., 40, Pecos Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated domestic abuse battery (strangulation) and disturbing the peace (fighting).

--Tabitha Businelle Chavis, 42, Pecos Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. Saturday on charges of domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace (fighting).

--Trevor M. Hebert, 28, Teche Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:37 p.m. Saturday on a charge of theft (under $1,000).

--Deborah Marie Francois, 39, Adams Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:24 p.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).

--Leon Jerrold Williams Jr., 22, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of marijuana.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 103 complaints and made these arrests:

--Rusty Shane Bordelon, 34, Franklin, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear. Bordelon continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Kevin Anthony Adams, 35, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Monday on a charge of restraining order violation. Adams continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Davide Jude Bell, 55, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:02 p.m. Monday on charges of improper lane usage, driving while intoxicated, open container and resisting arrest or officer.

Bail has not been set at this time.
