Arrests include drug, weapons charges

Parish deputies and Morgan City police reported five arrests this week, including one alleging possession with intent to distribute drugs and possession of stolen firearms

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 113 complaints and made these arrests:

--Natoya Cheryll Singleton, 34, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday on charges of Illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a person under 17, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs, possession of Schedule I drugs, illegal possession of stolen firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Emma Mae Fulks, 40, Verdunville, was arrested at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday on charges of violation of protective orders and resisting arrest or officer. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Charlene Marie Dupre, 34, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Monday on charges of unauthorized entry of inhabited dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 34 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Michelle Cavalier, 58, Shell Beach Road, was arrested at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of theft (under $1,000).

--Eddie Brown IV, 52, Joseph Street, Morgan City, arrested at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine.
