AG's Office: Morgan City man arrested on rape, child porn counts

A Morgan City man has been accused of first-degree rape, indecent behavior and producing child pornography, the Attorney General’s Office said Monday.

Carrol Ray Clark, 49, Jamie Court, Morgan City, was originally arrested Nov. 6 by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on 21 counts of pornography involving juveniles, one count of first-degree rape, two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles and three counts of production of pornography involving juveniles.

He was arrested in a joint investigation involving the LBI, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations, Attorney General Liz Murrill said.

Clark was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

On Nov. 7, Clark was re-booked for 10 counts of pornography involving juveniles.

And on Monday, Clark was re-booked on one count of first-degree rape, two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles and three counts of production of pornography involving juveniles.

“As a mom, every one of these stories is both heartbreaking and infuriating,” Murrill said. “Thanks to my LBI agents and all our law enforcement partners, this monster is off the streets and behind bars.”

The investigation continues, the AG’s Office said.
