Agencies report drug and weapon arrests

Law enforcement agencies in St. Mary Parish reported six arrests on drug-related charges late last week, including two that also involved weapon charges and another involving heroin possession.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 123 complaints and made these arrests:

--Humberto Fidencio Navarro-Perez, 34, Gibson, LA, was arrested at 1:52 p.m. Sunday on charges of armed robbery, obstructing justice by intimidation, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of stolen firearms, and unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution or possession of fraudulent documents.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Brandon Michael Hebert, 26, Franklin, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.. Hebert also named in a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana. Hebert was released on a $7,500 bond.

--Gregory Paul Harris, 43, Franklin, was arrested at 9:28 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of driving under suspension. Harris was released on a $500 bond.

--Damien Aurelius Hale, 34, Franklin, was arrested at 7:12 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Bail was set at $1,000.

--Conley Thomas Jones, 75, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:27 p.m. Thursday on charges of theft and sale, distribution, or possession of legend drug without prescription. Jones was released on a $2,500 bond.

--Alvin Robinson Jr., 50, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:41 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $2,846.00

--Mindy Rochelle Gautreaux, 45, Houma, was arrested at 10:54 a.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $2,500.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Alyssa Louise Ashmore, 34, Front Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Aug. 7 on charges of introduction of contraband into a penal institution, possession of synthetic marijuana (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Stella Rosemary Ross, 26 Forsiling Street, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, was arrested at 3:37 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana (first), disturbing the peace, resisting an officer and violation of a drug-free zone.

--David Raymond Langston Jr., 47, Comeaux Drive, Lockport, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Thursday as a fugitive from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 17complaints over the last 96-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Michelle Dugas, 50, Eisenhower Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on charges of failure to stop at stop sign and operating a vehicle while license is suspended. Dugas was additionally arrested on the charges of possession of heroin and 42 counts of possession of a legend drug without a prescription. Dugas was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Calvin Stephenson, 43, Mustang Court, Lake City, Florida, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Friday on a charge of simple robbery. Stephenson was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Bricelon Martin, 28, Samuel Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:35 p.m. Friday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of open burning. Martin was booked, processed and released on a $358 bond.

--Alejandro Hernandez, 25, Chatsworth Road, Franklin, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. Saturday on charges of unlawful possession of fraudulent documents for identification purposes, speed zone limits and driver must be licensed. Hernandez was booked, processed and released on a $1,292.50 bond.

--Paulino Lopez, 39, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:32 a.m. Saturday on charges of speeding and suspended driver’s license. Lopez was booked, processed and released on a $478.50 bond.

--Vertress Loston, 45, Lockett Road, Franklin, was arrested at 11:11 a.m. Thursday on a warrant dated July 10 alleging criminal trespassing, remaining where forbidden and stalking. Loston was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--James Murray, 36, Robertson Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 2:16 p.m. Thursday on charges of off-road vehicles and riding on motorcycles restrictions. Murray was booked, processed and released on a $750 bond.
