15 drug arrests reported by local law enforcement

(Editor’s note: The charges listed here and the narratives that go with them are provided by the police agencies that made the arrests. Guilt or innocence has not been determined in court.)

Local law enforcement agencies reported 15 arrests on drug charges in the last week, including five by Patterson officers on charges that include possession of drugs in distribution quantities.

The total number includes the previously reported arrest Oct. 15 of Lester Janard Broussard on charges that include distribution or possession with intent to distribute heroin and hydrocodone. The Sheriff’s

Office reported Broussard’s arrest after a standoff in Patterson.

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Danny L. Anforf, 50, Natalie Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. Friday on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I drug, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, turn signal, and driving with license suspended or revoked. He was also arrested on two Patterson Police Department warrants.

Anforf was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Jadi N. Guerrero, 36, Southwest Boulevard, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. Friday on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I drug and possession of a Schedule II drug, and on a warrant for another jurisdiction.

Guerrero is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Atanacio Guerrero Jr., 63, Duke Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. Friday on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I drug and possession of a Schedule II drug. Guerrero is incarcerated at the Paterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Angela M. Daigle, 59, La. 663, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of driving with license suspended or revoked. Daigle was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $738.

--Chantel T. Burke, 31, Church Street, Patterson, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, child endangerment (prohibited acts Schedule II), possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a person under 17. Burke was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Ben P. Louviere, 47, Church Street, Patterson, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, child endangerment (prohibited acts Schedule II), possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a person under 17.

Louviere was incarcerated with no bond set.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:

--Madilyn Hallie Wilcox, 20, Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:07 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession of dextroamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Dwayne Anthony Skinner, 33, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:43 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging two counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Joseph Anthony Acosta, 33, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Saturday as a fugitive from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.

--Jamerson Williams, 22, Oregon Street, Berwick, was arrested at 4:09 a.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (drunkenness).

--Latjsha Lawson, 22, Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:32 p.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging two counts of failure to appear.

--Casey Gros Jr., 32, Onstead Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:48 a.m. Thursday on charges of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law), interfering with emergency communications and
criminal damage to property.

--Zacolby Granger, 33, Grace Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:37 a.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of marijuana. (Released on summons).

--Dearius Devonte Young, 26, Eighth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:24 p.m. Thursday on charges of aggravated criminal damage to property, criminal trespassing, reckless operation of a motor
vehicle, disturbing the peace and stalking.

--Jada Monique Humphrey Carter, 43, Birch Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:19 p.m. Thursday on a charge of resisting an officer.

--Malik Qshaun Harrison, 21, St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana. (Released on summons.)

--Brennan Norton Skinner, 33, Grace Street, Morgan City, was arrested 2:36 p.m. Oct. 15 on seven counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Gerald Jay Jones Sr., 51, Keith Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 15 on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

--Johnny Delano Hart Jr., 68, Sixth Street, Berwick, was arrested at 8:27 p.m. Oct. 15 on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:

--Kayla Reynolds, 20, Napoleonville, was arrested at 11:35 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging unlawful sale, purchase or possession of tobacco by a person under 17. Reynolds was released on a $2,000 bond.

--Shawn Paul Boudreaux, 46, Centerville, was arrested at 10:32 a.m. Sunday on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, simple criminal damage to property, possession of Schedule IV drugs and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Olivia Rene Prado, 31, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Prado was released on a $2,500 bond.

--Maranda Nicole Hampton, 32, Morgan City, was arrested at 2 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Blaze Jo Nicole Ezell, 31, Berwick, was arrested at 4:04 p.m. Thursday on charges of domestic abuse battery aggravated assault, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest or officer.

Bail was set at $22,000.

--Lydia Mary Boudreaux, 35, Patterson, was arrested at 7:26 a.m. Thursday on charges of possession of a Schedule II drug and possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $6,500.

--Mylse Roberson, 26, Franklin, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 9:21 p.m. Friday on two warrants alleging possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and illegal possession of a stolen firearm. Roberson was released on a $20,000 bond.

--Jamaar Cardell Harris, 28, Gonzales, was arrested at 11:34 a.m. Oct. 15 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of failure to yield to emergency vehicle, speeding, operating a vehicle with an expired license plate and operating a vehicle without a driver's license. Harris was released on a paid fine.

--Sydni Lafay Henry, 23, New Iberia, was arrested at 2:19 p.m. Oct. 15 on a charge of resisting arrest or officer. Henry was released on a $5,000 bond.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--Jaquincy Mouton, 32, Elizabeth Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 9:26 p.m. Friday on charges of battery of a dating partner, two counts of simple criminal damage to property, hit-and-run driving, interfering with emergency communication, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and aggravated criminal damage to property.

Mouton was additionally arrested on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of driver must be licensed, possession of marijuana and abuse of toxic vapors. Mouton was booked, processed and held on a $71,485 bond.

--Kevin Nedd, 63, Fifth Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:34 p.m. Saturday on a warrant dated Sept. 8 alleging violation of protective orders. Nedd was additionally arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on charges of speeding and operating a vehicle while license is suspended. Nedd was booked, processed and held on a $6,000 bond.

--Carl Joseph, Jr., 31, Curtis Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Saturday on a charge of remaining where forbidden. Joseph was booked, processed and held on a $750 bond.

--Shontranice McDaniel, 30, Robertson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Sunday on charges of remaining where forbidden and possession of Schedule II drugs. McDaniel was booked, processed and held on a $4,500 bond.
