Morgan City falls to South Lafourche

Patterson got its first 2025 win over its East St. Mary rival on Thursday, a night before South Lafourche put on an offensive show against Morgan City.
Patterson was a 42-6 winner over Berwick in the brag rag game (see related story). South Lafourche was a 48-12 winner over Morgan City High.
Also Thursday, Centerville downed Hanson Memorial 28-21, and Franklin beat Houma Christian 46-22.
On Friday, Riverside Academy put a 47-7 end to Central Catholic’s two-game winning streak, and West St. Mary was a 28-12 winner over Delcambre.
This Thursday, Morgan City will be at Lutcher, and Berwick will be at Donaldsonville.
On Friday, Central Catholic goes to Jeanerette; Patterson will be at St. James; Franklin will be on the road at Loreauville; Highland Baptist will be at Hanson; and Catholic-New Iberia will be at West St. Mary.

South Lafourche rolled up 272 rushing yards to put a crimp in Morgan City’s homecoming celebration.
Leading the way was running back Andravin Dray Hughes, who had touchdown runs of 38, 8, 11 and 21 yards in the first half. Hughes added a 31-yard score in the fourth quarter.
For Morgan City, Micah Wilkerson scored a touchdown on a 39-yard run in the first quarter.
Gerren Hayes broke loose for a 31-yard score in the fourth quarter.
