Berwick loses to Erath

After a losing their fifth game of the season last week against Covenant Christian, Berwick set out to get things back in the right direction against Erath.
Instead, Erath beat the Panthers 49-0 and remained undefeated.
Erath took a very early lead in the game when Landon Lemaire returned Berwick’s opening kick for a touchdown.
On Berwick’s first drive, the Panthers tried to make some special teams magic of their own, attempting a fake punt. But it backfired on the Panthers. The Bobcats started the drive with excellent field position, and a few plays later, Lemaire scored a 28-yard rushing touchdown.
Erath would then score five more touchdowns in the first half. Berwick was able to hold the Bobcats to no points in the second half and and might be able to build on that performance heading into next week’s matchup against Patterson.
The Panthers take on Patterson at home on Thursday. Patterson currently does not have a win on the season but does have some close losses. The match-up looks to be a good one between the two rivals.
