Sean Doherty gets GM post with Phoenix
Phoenix International Holdings Inc. announced that Sean Doherty has joined the company as general manager its Largo, Maryland, office.
Doherty brings over 20 years of leadership, engineering and project management experience, gained through a career in the Navy.
Specializing in diving, salvage and shipyard operations, he has consistently demonstrated a strong ability to lead complex technical initiatives in demanding maritime environments. He holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture from the United States Naval Academy and is a certified Project Management Professional.
In his new role, Doherty will be responsible for managing all aspects of Phoenix’s government and commercial deep ocean search and recovery service lines, as well as the company’s Engineering and Research & Development efforts.

Phoenix, which has a facility in Bayou Vista, is an employee-owned, ISO 9001-2015 Management System certified marine services contractor providing manned and unmanned underwater solutions, design engineering and project management services worldwide.
Expertise is available from seven regional offices in the areas of wet and dry hyperbaric welding, nondestructive testing, subsea engineering, conventional and atmospheric diving, and autonomous underwater vehicle and remotely operated vehicle operations.
