Patterson named CEO at Ochsner St. Mary

Ochsner Health announced that Elmore Patterson has been named chief executive officer for Ochsner St. Mary. Elmore joined the team with the recent promotion of Fernis LeBlanc to CEO for the Bayou Region, where he has oversight of the three facilities in the region, Ochsner St. Anne, Chabert Medical Center and Ochsner St. Mary.

Elmore comes to Ochsner Health from Saint Luke’s Health System Allen County Regional Hospital and Anderson County Hospital in southeast Kansas. He has gained positions of increasing responsibility in the healthcare industry, including hospital administrator, executive director, nursing home administrator, and director of facilities and operations.

“The entire Bayou Region team is excited to welcome Elmore as the new CEO of Ochsner St. Mary. Elmore’s experience in developing, leading, and operating successful healthcare facilities while creating a strategic vision will enhance our ability to provide the best healthcare in St. Mary Parish,” said LeBlanc.

Elmore earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management from Savannah State University, as well as a Master of Health Service Administration degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Earlier in his career, he worked as a 1st Lieutenant, Health Services Materiel Officer, Captain, Health Services Personnel Officer, and Major, Army Medical Recruiting Station Officer in Charge in the United States Army Medical Department.
