Delay in steel tariffs

Shipbuilding employs 800-1,000 St. Mary Parish people, according to federal statistics. They may have gotten a break Tuesday, when the Trump administration announced a 30-day delay in the imposition of new tariffs on steel, a major component in shipbuilding.
