B&G opens Taco Bell in Alabama

B&G Food Enterprises LLC, the Morgan City-based franchisee of Taco Bell, announced the opening of its first restaurant in Alabama. The restaurant is in Grand Bay, Alabama, at exit 4 on Interstate 10.

While this is its first restaurant in Alabama, B&G has restaurants across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. B&G Foods has eight restaurants serving the Abilene, Texas, market, 52 restaurants in the Houston metro area, 120 restaurants in Louisiana across every market except in Shreveport, 12 restaurants along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and now one in Alabama.

B&G Food Enterprises was created in 1982 when the company received its first franchise from Taco Bell to operate a restaurant in Morgan City. B&G now operates 193 restaurants and employs well over 3,800 employees.
