Basin Brew Fest

Downtown Morgan City was the site for Saturday's fifth annual Basin Brew Fest. The event gave local people the chance to sample craft beers, and it featured a homebrew beer competition. Mostly importantly, the Basin Brew Fest is a fundraiser. The event raised $30,000 2017-19 for playground equipment at Lawrence Park. The next project is restoring the band box and fountain in the park. This year's partner was Aviary Creature Rescue and Advocate + Rescue for Companion Animals, which will benefit from the sale of designated driver tickets.
