The first signpost honoring Morgan City military veterans was unveiled Monday on Victor II Boulevard near Myrtle Street. The sign dedicates a portion of Victor II to 1st Lt. J. Cameron Webster, whose decorations included the Purple Heart and the Silver Star for his service in Vietnam. He died in 2018. Unveiling his sign were his wife Linda and granddaughter Sophie. Webster's sign was the first of 10 unveiled Monday by the Heroes Way Commission, a volunteer group that raised money and planned the project, led by Matt Dragna.
