Franklin prepares for 'Christmas Under the Lampposts'

This year’s Christmas under the Lampposts will feature a decorated golf cart parade along with the Christmas on the Bayou Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 4 beginning at 6 p.m. The Parade route is from Franklin City Hall to the St. Mary Parish Courthouse.
Community members, businesses, churches, schools and organizations wishing to enter a decorated golf cart, side by side, glow bike or walking group can register by calling Tammy Rogers at (337) 828-6350 to sign up. No vehicles are allowed and there is no fee to enter.
The deadline to enter is Thursday, December 3. Participants must provide their own golf cart and decorations.
