Patterson Garden Club discusses its history, plans

Patterson Garden Club held its meeting Feb. 15 at Pilant Court Reporting office in Patterson.
Officers sponsored the meeting which centered on the history of the club.

The Galatea Queens’ Club held its luncheon recently to welcome its newest member, Queen Galatea LIII Mrs. Jeff Beattie. In attendance were, front row from left are Mmes. Kenny Cefalu and Wendell Huddleston, the Captain (traditionally unnamed), Beattie, and Mmes. Jerry Leblanc, A.J. Dohmann and Bill Poole. Standing from left are Mmes. King and Queen Hephaestus LX Allie “Al” Adams and Madeleine Margaret Hover will make a farewell appearance Saturday when the area’s oldest Mardi Gras krewe presents its 8 p.m. tableau at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. Floor seating is invitation only. The krewe will present a parade at 2 p.m. on Fat Tuesday in Morgan City.
