Theriot is Patterson Garden Club speaker
“Fitness over 50” was the program presented by Anne Theriot, an Anytime Fitness certified trainer, to members of Patterson Garden Club during the club’s Nov. 13 meeting. The meeting was at the home of Iris Roy. Co-hostess was Sharon Larson.
Theriot said it is important to keep moving throughout the day and that any extra exercise or movement makes a healthier person. A gift of appreciation was given to her by member Ginger Griffin.
Thanks was given to Roy, Evelyn Estay and Donna Bates-Ruffin for making Halloween treats for the Center of Hope and to Lisa Wilson for delivering them.
Reports were also given on the successful Blue Star Memorial program recently held honoring veterans.
Plans were made to decorate Patterson Healthcare Center for Christmas at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 29. More volunteers are needed.
The Patterson Garden Club Christmas party and meeting is scheduled Dec. 15.
