Teen Club treated to Black history program

The Del-Leaders/Delta G.E.M.S./EMBODI Teen Club of Franklin Jeanerette Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. recently hosted a Black history program themed “Still I Rise.”
This year’s program highlighted local history makers such as Patterson’s youngest elected mayor, Rodney Grogan; Morgan City buffalo solider Emmanuel Skinner; David Triggs, Smithsonian Institute folklore artist; Savitra Collins, pharmacist; Clarence Clark, fire chief in St. Mary Parish (housed in Four Corners); and Terri Foulcard, St. Mary registrar of voters.
