Patterson Garden Club holds Nov. 15 meeting
On Nov. 15, Patterson Garden Club held its monthly meeting at the home of member Iris Roy.
President Ginger Griffin conducted the business meeting which included plans for the Christmas social and donation of toys for needy children for Christmas.
The Christmas social and meeting will be held on Dec. 12 when members will bring toys to donate.
A program on the care of Christmas cacti was given by Evelyn Estay.
She compared cacti types such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter and informed members that the cacti are all given the name “Christmas cactus.” She said the plants are blooming at this time of the year and they’re very easy to care for.
Every member was given a blooming Christmas cactus to take home.
