HILDA OLIVER OTIS

Mrs. Hilda Oliver Otis, a native and resident of Franklin, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at 12:01 a.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
She and her husband the late Rev. Willie Otis Sr. were the owners of Otis Mortuary in Franklin for 49 years.
Visitation will be observed Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Franklin Senior High School Auditorium. Burial rites will be read at noon. Interment will be in the Perpetual Park Mausoleum, Franklin. Rev. Deandre C. Johnson will officiate.
She is survived by her sons, W.J. Otis Jr., of Charenton, who is pastor of Special Providence Baptist Church and Little Zion Baptist Church; Rev. James F. Otis and his wife Jeanetta of Franklin, pastor of New Horeb Baptist Church, and Larry S. Otis of Franklin; daughters Barbara O. Lewis and her husband Lovaughn of Baton Rouge, and Ida O. Richard and her husband Richard of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Willie Otis Sr., her parents, Foster and Edna Oliver, brothers Clarence and Manuel Oliver, and her sister, Eleanor Madison.
