The Morgan City Youth Bowling League held its Spring League awards ceremony April 30 at Charlie’s Lanes.

Top-ranked Sterlington High School had just three hits in Sunday’s Class 3A semifinal contest against No. 4 Berwick.
But the final one proved to be the most important.
Central Catholic received enough quality pitching and solid defense to win Wednesday’s Division IV semifinal contest against top-seed Ouachita Christian.
So far, Berwick High School’s baseball team has survived every opponent of the Revenge Tour the squad has faced as it fights to clinch a second-straight Class 3A state championship.
