FHS wins over Grand Isle

Hunter Seneca hurled the Franklin Hornets to a 13-0 shutout victory over the Grand Isle Trojans Friday at the Franklin Hornets Baseball Field.
Seneca (1-0) worked five scoreless innings, allowing only three hits with six strikeouts and one walk.
Leading hitters for the Hornets were: Lamar Joseph, 2 for 3, run; Jardyn McCoy, 1 for 2, run; Hunter Seneca, 2 for 3, 3 RBI, double; William Moore, 1 for 3, RBI; Jamal Connor, 2 runs; Hayden Seneca, 1 for 3, 2 runs, RBI; Ruston Bertrand, 1 for 3 and Brent Ina, 1 for 3, 3 runs, RBI.
Leading hitters for Grand Isle were: Destin Ballard, 1 for 2; Micah Huss, 1 for 2 and Cahn Nguyen, 1 for 3.
Franklin (9-7-1, 0-2 in district action) will host No. 1 ranked E. D. White on Tuesday in a District 8-3A double-header beginning at 3:30 p.m.
