Hornets post double-header sweep of Northside

The Franklin High School Hornets posted a double-header sweep of the Northside High School Vikings on Thursday at the Franklin Hornets Baseball Field.
Franklin (8-5-1) won the opener by a final score of 13-0 before capturing the nightcap by a 14-4 score.
FRANKLIN 13, NORTHSIDE 0
Franklin ace Brent Ina (4-1) tossed a no-hitter in leading the Franklin Hornets to a 13-0 shutout victory over Northside in the Game 1.
Ina pitched five complete innings, not allowing a run nor a hit while walking one and striking out nine. Ina faced a total of 21 batters over five complete innings.
Leading hitters for Franklin were: Lamar Joseph, 2 for 3; Jardyn McCoy, 3 for 3, run, 2 hits, double, RBI; Hunter Seneca, 2 for 4, RBI; J’Trell Connor, 1 for 2, run, hit; Jarius Boyd, 1 for 3, 2 hits; Jamal Connor, 2 for 4, 2 hits, 3 RBI; Hayden Seneca, 1 for 3, RBI; Ruston Bertrand, 2 for 3, 2 hits, run, 2 RBI and Brent Ina, 1 for 4, double, 2 RBI.
Franklin erupted for 11 runs in the first inning before adding insurance runs on both the second and fourth frames en route to the 13-0 victory over Northside in Game 1.

Ruston Bertrand tossed a three-hitter, leading the Franklin Hornets to a 14-4 win over the Northside Vikings Thursday in Game 2 at the Franklin Hornets Baseball Field.
Bertrand (2-1) surrendered one earned run on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts over five complete innings.
