Central Catholic was 5-0 at its annual 7-on-7 Tournament Saturday at the school's practice facility. The Eagles were joined by six other teams, including two from the Tri-City area, Berwick and Patterson. The event also featured a lineman challenge. Central Catholic hosted its 7th annual 7-on-7 football tournament at the Central Catholic High School practice field Saturday in Morgan City.
Morgan City High alum Shawn Long held his inaugural Shawn Long Bully Ball Classic Saturday at Morgan City High School. The basketball game featured alumni from Morgan City and Central Catholic squaring off. Morgan City won the contest 81-74. Long, who also starred at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, is a professional basketball player who had his most recent NBA experience in summer league action.
