A couple of competitors came up with the same answer at Saturday's conclusion of the 2023 Bayou BBQ Bash: Texture is king.
Chris Bridge shows the ribs he entered in the BBQ Bash Corporate category, representing Master Electric Services in Morgan City. Master Electric also donated the belt buckle that will go to the grand champion.
Forty-four teams appeared to compete in this year's Bayou BBQ Bash under the bridge in Morgan City. The teams were competing in ribs, chicken and brisket categories and for the grand prize.
The Morgan City Planning & Zoning Commission on Tuesday approved a rezoning that brings city plans for the Shannon Elementary property closer to reality.
