U.S. Coast Guard/ Coast Guard Cutter Glenn Harris

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Glenn Harris, a pre-commissioned 154-foot fast response cutter, pulls a person from the water Tuesday after a lift boat capsized eight miles south of Port Fourchon. The Coast Guard and multiple good Samaritan vessels responded to the capsized vessel and searched for multiple missing people in the water.

One body recovered after lift boat capsizes

The Associated Press is reporting that the body of one of the missing crew members of the Seacor Power lift boat was recovered late Wednesday morning.

Berwick gets grant for flood project

BERWICK — The rain from another flash flood event had barely ended Tuesday when Berwick Mayor Duval Arthur announced a state grant to improve drainage in one of the town’s flood-prone areas.
