Thursday's Bayou BBQ Bash Kick-Off at Hampton Inn & Suites was the occasion for another event as well. The St. Mary Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting to mark the acquisition of the hotel, 6365 La. 182 East, Morgan City, by Kilpatrick Investments LLC. Kilpatrick already owns the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 704 Martin Luther King Jr. Circle Drive, Morgan City.
