Danos acquires Panel Specialists Inc.

Danos announced the acquisition of substantially all assets of Panel Specialists Inc., expanding its technical services in automation and panel fabrication.

The move also strengthens Danos’ pressure valve repair services by adding VR and T/O certifications from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, Danos said in a press release.

The purchase includes Panel Specialists’ panel fabrication business, which builds UL 508A Industrial Control Panels. Operations will continue at the Houma airbase location, with former Panel Specialists owner Earl Bergeron joining Danos as senior automation and controls lead.

Backed by 38 years of experience, Houma-based Panel Specialists is respected for its expertise in panel, instrumentation and electrical solutions, Danos said. Danos Ventures, the family-owned investment company, facilitated the transaction on behalf of Danos LLC.

With a history dating back to 1947, Danos is a family-owned enterprise serving the energy industry.
