Castille joins Ochsner St. Mary staff

Katrina Castille, MD, general surgeon, has joined the active medical staff at Ochsner St. Mary, CEO Fernis LeBlanc announced.
Castille earned her Medical Doctorate from Drexel University, Philadelphia, and a Bachelor of Science, Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She completed her residency program at LSU Health Shreveport in Shreveport.
“We are pleased to add Dr. Castille to our growing medical staff. We will be able to provide additional general surgery services to the members of our community,” said LeBlanc. “With the addition of Dr. Castille practicing in our community, it will enable us to expand our existing services and help us to continue our goal of keeping people at home for their healthcare needs,” LeBlanc added.
As a general surgeon, Castille is specially trained to care for a specific area of the body — the abdominal organs, including the intestines, esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and thyroid gland. Castille also treats skin lesions and hernias.
Castille is looking forward to working with the medical staff at Ochsner St. Mary to provide care to the people in this community and is now accepting new patients. Her office is located at Ochsner Specialty Health Center-Morgan City, 1302 Lakewood Drive, Morgan City.
