(Updated) U.S. 90 bridge incident is cleared

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a call at 5:16 a.m. Wednesday reporting that a vehicle was stalled in the right east lane on the U.S. 90 bridge over Berwick Bay and had smoke coming from it, Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Detective Lt. Traci Landry said. Authorities learned that the driver was driving up the bridge, when the vehicle started to smoke. So the driver parked the vehicle and got out, Landry said.
