PINEVILLE – Services for acclaimed high school coach Charles McArthur will be Saturday. He died Agu. 16 at age 72.
A starting halfback on Southern Mississippi championship football team of 1958, he coached football at Menard, Bolton, Pineville and Tioga High schools and softball at Bolton, Tioga and Menard. He was a member of the La. State Softball Coaches Hall of Fame and the USM Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his wife Dorris and four children.
