Six St. Mary teams in baseball playoffs

Both Morgan City teams and Berwick are in the high school baseball playoffs along with Centerville, Franklin and Hanson Memorial.

The opening bi-district round will be Wednesday through Saturday. Winners advance to the regional round April 23-27.

--In Select Division IV, fifth-seeded Central Catholic has a first-round bye and will play No. 12 Delhi Charter in the regional.

--In Non-Select Division II, No. 23 Morgan City High will play at No. 10 Pearl River in the bi-district round. The winner advances to the regional at No.7 West Feliciana.

--In Non-Select Division III, No. 14 Berwick hosts No. 19 Springfield in the bi-district round. The winner will play No. 3 Caldwell Parish in the regional.

--In Select Division IV, No. 16 Hanson Memorial will host No. 17 Cedar Creek in the bi-district round. The winner advances to the regional against No. 1 Opelousas Catholic.

--In Non-Select Division IV, No. 10 Centerville will host No. 23 Oberlin in the bi-district round. The winner advances to the regional at No. 7 Welsh.

--In Non-Select Division IV, No. 2r Franklin plays at No. 9 Vinton in the bi-district round. The winner will play at No. 8 Montgomery.
