MCPD reports domestic, theft, sex crime arrests

Morgan City police reported arrests on domestic abuse, sex crime and theft charges over the weekend.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 135 calls for service over the last 72-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

---Elaina Nichole Ashmore, 24, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:44 p.m. Friday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.

--Travis Coler, 42, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:46 p.m. Friday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.

--Bryant Kentrell Harris, 36, Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:49 p.m. Saturday on a charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

--Barbara Hanks Murray, 48, Brownell Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:53 p.m. Sunday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.

--Jeremy Sentel Blackburn, 45, Barrow Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:22 p.m. Saturday on charges of theft, three counts of failure to appear for trial, one count of failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and one count of failure to appear for trial (16th Judicial District Court).

--Christine Ann Hart, 40, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:26 p.m. Saturday on a charge of theft (under $1,000) and tampering with an electrical meter.

--Martin Lopez, 43, Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), careless operation of a motor vehicle and no driver’s license.

--Josue Ruiz-Rodriguez, 21, Vista Village Lane, Morgan city, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. Saturday on a charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

--Destiny Akaishaya Bennett, 37, Grandwood, Patterson, was arrested at 1:33 a.m. Sunday on a charge of failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests

--Deon R. Chambers, 46, Weddell Street, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Friday on charges of threatening a public official, disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and resisting an officer (failure to comply). Chambers is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail.

--Timothy G.P. Francis, 36, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:41 p.m. Saturday on charges of driver’s license suspended or revoked and speeding 51 mph in a 35 mph zone. Francis was released on a summons.

--Leeaira J. Landry, 17, Becky Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (language). Landry was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 14 complaints over the weekend and made these arrests:

--Tamryn Washington, 21, James Street, Franklin, was arrested at 1:32 p.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Washington was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.

--Keirarra Paddio, 25, Augustine Maze Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:01 p.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Paddio was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.

--Ruthaline Joseph, 62, Guillotte Street, Jeanerette, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Friday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxication), disturbing the peace (language) and remaining where forbidden. Joseph was booked, processed and released on a $2,500 bond.

--Randolph Joseph, 32, Third Street, Franklin, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. Sunday on charges of remaining where forbidden and resisting an officer. Joseph was booked, processed and held on a $3,000 bond.
