Injured woman found on St. Mary highway

An injured woman discovered Tuesday night in the roadway on La. 87 was taken to Lafayette for medical treatment, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office said.
She was found one-half mile past Lacy Street in the Franklin area.

Deputies answered the call about 9 p.m. Tuesday. They don't know why the woman was in the road.
