DWI, marijuana arrests reported by MCPD

Morgan City police reported arrests on drunken-driving and marijuana possession over the weekend.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 187 calls for service and made these arrests:

--Drew A. Miller, 19, Mark Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:31 a.m.. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and reckless operation of a vehicle.

--Guillermo Pineda, 44, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Evia M. Lothridge, 33, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Devonta T. Grogan, 22, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:51 p.m. Friday on charges of remaining where forbidden and resisting an officer.

--John W. Ross, 55, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. Friday on a charge of monetary instrument abuse.

--Michael J. Crochet, 62, Cypress Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:54 p.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (language).

--Jimmy R. Morgan, 41,Willard McGee Road, Leesville, was arrested at 010:45 p.m. Friday as a fugitive from the Leesville Police Department.

--Nicholus N. Castle, 27, Shannon Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:34 a.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (language).

--Rebecca M. Freer, 40, Mallard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:57 a.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear to pay fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and as a fugitive from the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

--Adam A. Cheramie, 35, Cheramie Lane, Golden Meadow, was arrested at 4:24 p.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of a protective order.

--Charlotte T. Bracamontes, 36, Tiffany Street, Patterson, was arrested at 3:10 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (drunkenness).

--Zacolby L. Granger, 32, Grace Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. Sunday as a fugitive from the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office.

--Angel Flores, 25, Victor II Boulevard, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:58 a.m. Sunday on charges of careless operation, driver must be licensed, view outward or inward through windshield and resisting an officer (false information), and on a warrant alleging failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Courtney Jermone Smith, 35, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:37 a.m. Thursday on two counts of failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).

--Thomas Edward Davis Jr., 22, Bush Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:56 a.m. Thursday on a charge of hit-and-run driving.

--Dannier Lynn Escort, 54, Louisiana Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:09 a.m. Thursday on charges of interfering with a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace.

--Raven Carline, 19, Substation Street, Pierre Part, was arrested at 10:32 a.m. Thursday on a charge of domestic abuse battery (strangulation).

--Zackery Dan Johnson, 38, Lagonda Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:48 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of buprenorphine, possess of alprazolam, two counts of theft (under $1,000) and resisting an officer.

--Joseph Anthony Acosta, 31, Sacred Heart Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:11 p.m. Thursday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 20 complaints March 15-17 and made these arrests:

--Denise Reaves, 50, Hamilton Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:50 a.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (language). Reaves was additionally arrested on a charge of resisting an officer with force. Reaves was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Stephanie Spain, 54, Robertson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:49 a.m. Friday on charges of stop signs, driving under suspension, no insurance and failure to register. Spain was booked, processed and released on a $200 bond.

--Megan Parker, 37, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:02 p.m. Friday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of disturbing the peace. Parker was booked, processed and released on a $368 bond.

--A juvenile was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Friday on a charge of simple battery.

--Kebreyana Jones, 31, Irish Bend Road, Franklin, was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Saturday on charges of speeding and reckless operation. Jones was booked, processed and released on a $694 bond.

--Jaydon Richard, 19, Lee Charles Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:58 p.m. Saturday on two counts of violation of protective orders. Richard was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Ebony Lively, 37, Mill Street, Jeanerette, was arrested at 5 p.m. Saturday on charges of accessory after the fact to theft and improper supervision of a minor by a parent or legal guardian. Lively was booked, processed and released on a $2,500 bond.

--Jarmontay Roberson, 30, Robertson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Sunday on a warrant dated Dec. 31 alleging unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property, aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by person convicted of certain felonies. Roberson was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Sylvester Coleman, 21, Main Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:09 a.m. Sunday on warrants for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of simple criminal damage to property, remaining where forbidden, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Coleman was booked, processed and held on an $800 bond.

--Harold Gray, 45, Weldon Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 1:09 p.m. Thursday on a warrant dated July 27 alleging theft (fourth offense). Gray was additionally arrested on a charge of theft. Gray was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Ray Picard Jr., 55, Hamm Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Thursday counts and criminal trespassing. Picard was booked, processed and held with no bond at the time of press release.

Chitimacha

Chief B.C. Trahan reported these arrests:

-- Ahtajday M Phillips, 22, Oneida Street, Jeanerette, was arrested March 11 on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a protection order, possession of a short-barreled rifle, and possession or dealing in unregistered or illegally transferred weapon. He was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Rayne J Phillips, 19, Oneida Street, Jeanerette, was arrested March 11 on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a summons.

--Corey J Martin, 55, Brea Creek Circle, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Friday on a charge of domestic abuse battery. He was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Jacob Picard, 34, Choctaw Drive, Jeanerette, was arrested Feb. 26 on charges of domestic abuse, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

-- Walter Gaudin, 71, Claymore Drive, Lafayette, was arrested Feb. 27 on a charge of misdemeanor theft. He was released on a summons.

--Kyle J Darden; 27, Tunica Street, Charenton, was arrested March 4 on charges of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. He was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

--Linda M Boutte, 73, Admiral Doyle Drive, Jeanerette, was arrested March 9 on an active warrant alleging hit and run. She was released on a summons.
