The Daily Review/Bill Decker
Officials have been watching the Atchafalaya River level at Morgan City for more than a month, hoping 2020 won't bring a repeat of last year's flooding. At 6 a.m. Thursday, the river was at 6.33 feet. The minor flood stage is 6 feet. The river is expected to stay close to 6.5 feet into next week.

Corps: No spillway openings anticipated this year

While officials are monitoring flood conditions along the Mississippi River, the water levels are not expected to rival last year’s record-setting flood fight.
